Apple just released a new Java update for Mac OSX 10.5.4 and greater. It is recommended that Mac ChemDoodle users install this update to take advantage of the improvements.

Many of our customers have been requesting that we read in ChemDraw files. I am happy to announce, that with the release of ChemDoodle v1.3.0 (mid-August), ChemDoodle will not only be able to read ChemDraw files, but write them as well.

Due to increased development costs and to better serve the customers that purchased ChemDoodle, we have enacted a few policy changes. First, the price of ChemDoodle will be increasing from its introductory price of $39 to $59.95 on August 1^st. Secondly, we will no longer answer support requests from trial users. Bug reports and feature requests are still welcome from any user, but we want to spend our time supporting our patrons.

One of the many new additions to ChemDoodle version 1.2.1 is the inclusion of advanced chemical document settings and formatting options.

In order to provide the depth involved with chemical document formatting, a few other features needed to be included first. Those features are the ability to resize the Doodle Sheet, advanced scaling transformations, improved and enhanced object properties, and a handful of prepared chemical document formats.

Affine transformations in ChemDoodle v1.2.1 have been revamped. Rotations have been improved with the inclusion of a new arbitrary rotation menu item. Scaling has has been implemented with an incredibly functional menu item

One of the new features introduced into ChemDoodle 1.2.1 is drag and drop support. The drag and drop functionality has been fully implemented (and even improved and expanded upon in some cases over standard drag and drop).
